How I changed a PLR Weight Loss ebook into an ebook I can use to give away

I have a weight loss blog and I am following a weight loss program so decided to create a blog to keep me focused. One of the biggest things you should always do as a blogger is build your list and so I decided to take a PLR Weight loss ebook and turn it into an ebook I could give away, the article below shows you the steps you need to take to re-create a PLR product.

Brief overview in case you don’t know : Private label rights (PLR) is a dream if you are looking to make your own information product because the hard work of writing it has already been done. You (and thousands of others) have the right to use it, add your name to it and then sell it (or give it away – check what rights you have.)

There are a few things you can do with a PLR ebook – I normally do this completely but there has been once when I haven’t – the Love Yourself ebook is an example of that. I kept it exactly as it is when I first got hold of it but now I follow these steps.

1. Change the name of the ebook. Remember hundreds of other people already own a copy too so you want to make sure you rename the product.

2.  Get a new graphic made. If you can afford it get a new graphic made to make it look different. If you change the name chances are you won’t be able to use the old graphic anyway (if it comes with one – some products do and some don’t)

3.  Add your affiliate links – don’t forget to add links to products that you want to promote

4.  Add your name – if you have changed/rewritten the product considerably then add your name to it as the author. If I have a PLR product and I am not changing the content I will usually say “Provided by…. BLOG NAME” or “This free report has been brought to you by… BLOG NAME”

That’s it – then you can go ahead and upload it as a free ebook. If you buy a bunch of PLR ebooks and then go through this process you never have to write much and can just keep renaming them and adding a new graphic. Some people rename them only  – up to you. It obviously looks better with a graphic.

Always ensure you add a link back to your blog so you get visitors too.

Compare the two and notice what I have added to it.  As well as the graphic on the front I included links to the products I am promoting plus a few articles at the end (with my affiliate link in them)

See how easy this is now? Go forth and make booklets, reports and ebooks you can give away. Always make sure you check what rights you have when you buy private label right products (check for unrestricted rights which usually means you can do what you like with them)
