Develop audio information products without having to speak a word

As you start your information product business you don’t have to restrict yourself to just creating text based products. You might also want to look at creating powerpoint slides, video and audio too.

How can video and audio be used?

If you are an writer/author looking for a way to enhance their book. You can offer it as an audio as a way to build your audience – you don’t give the whole book away of course but enough to spark interest.  You can also read some of it on video and engage your audience that way.  Imagine how wonderful that would be – being able to let your readers see you on video and watch as you read the book to them.

If you are not a writer but you have another product that can be enhanced by adding audio products as an extra incentive that can work for you too.

If you have a blog and you want to build your list by giving away audio interviews or you want to add them to your blog so you don’t always have to write content but can provide audio/video content too.

There are plenty of different ways you can develop audio information products and use them – and to save yourself the effort, now you can even outsource them so you don’t have to speak a word yourself!

Creating audio podcasts is a great way for you to build your audience on the internet – especially if what you are putting together is a high quality audio.

Creating audio podcasts as a way to attract visitors to your blog or website is something all information product owners should eventually consider because it provides your readers with content in more than just text format. The trouble is most people don’t want to learn how to create audio podcasts or do not like their own voice enough to give it a go.

Well, there are a couple of ways to create audio products without having to say a single word!

One way is to visit a site like Nextup at nextup.com and take advantage of their software called TextAloud which uses synthesis to convert your text into spoken audio. The only disadvantage to using a system like this is the fact that the voice can sound a little robotic but there are more  natural sounding voices available.

The other alternative is to join a membership site like Monthly Products, which provides that audio content for you and gives you either resale rights or private label rights to use the material. Obviously if you want to put it on your blog you will need private label rights so that you are free to use it without restrictions (you should always check what restrictions apply before joining any site) and you may decide to include some on your blog and keep others as a way to build your subscriber list.

Armand Morin runs a great service that provides monthly audio interviews with experts that you can then use either as products that you sell or as audio that you place on your blog (maybe as a teaser to selling the actual audio product.) There are so many different ways you can use the monthly product audios and it will save you hours of having to put it all together yourself.

Whatever you do online audio is a great alternative for your readers and video provides you with a real competitive edge. It is real easy to take an audio and turn it into a video by simply creating a powerpoint presentation and matching the two up and then using a desktop recording  software to record the whole thing. I like Camtasia but there are free desktop video recorders available, just check the search engines and you will find a few!
